41[M4F] NC - friendship and genuine connection

For the most part life is good, but lately I have been craving a good conversation and building emotional intimacy with someone. I'm a 41 year old dad juggling family and work, and I have realized I miss those small, meaningful moments of connection that can lead to deeper intimacy. I often feel invisible at home, so am looking for the feeling of being truly seen, appreciated, and desired. The bedroom has been a slow fade over the past couple years and is completely stale.

I am a 5 foot 10 guy with blue eyes, a beard, and an average build. I'm pretty central in NC. When I finally get a moment to myself, I usually settle in with some good music or a book. My days are quite full with the usual responsibilities, so my evenings are better for conversation and connecting.

For now, I'm looking to start online where we can build a strong connection and the kind of intimacy we're not getting at home. I miss the witty back and forth and laughing together about our lives. I want to find someone who understands that life can be both full and lonely at the same time, and who is also looking for a connection where you feel desired and heard.
