I tried to ward my name but think I failed

Advice (Witchcraft Related)

I performed a ritual by "my" standards. This was my first ever attempt and went with my gut and vague knowledge of witchcraft. I purified my space with incense and lit lavender and rosemary candles. I wrote out a haiku protecting and naming myself on a piece of paper folded it, wrote a rune for my name on top and stamped it with an embosser that has my last name on it. I burned it over a white candle I had carved the rune on three sides of the candle. The candle is burning on a bed of bay leaves and thyme. Once I burned the paper mostly to ash, not all of it burned so I took a look at the white piece and the only thing I can read is my name, lightly burned but legable.

Did I accomplish what I meant to or was this some kind of rejection? Should I burn my name on its own? I feel like it could be a sign either way.. Any thoughts on what this means are appreciated.
