MyPoints quietly raised redemption thresholds. Anyone else seeing this? Also a low-effort workaround that helped me

Been watching my balance and noticed MyPoints bumped up the points needed for a couple of redemptions this week. Not huge amounts but enough that a payout I was almost at suddenly feels farther away, and the little discount they used to give on the prepaid card seems gone. Kind of annoying when you bank on these things lining up.

Not trying to derail the thread, but I ended up supplementing with Mistplay for a few weeks to bridge the gap. It is literally just playing random mobile games for Units you can swap for gift cards, and every now and then they have PayPal or Visa options. Took me an extra 10–15 minutes a day on commutes and I was able to grab a $5 Amazon card without waiting ages for MyPoints to recover. If you want to stay strictly on MyPoints that is fair, but if you find these small changes messing with your plans, tossing in something like Mistplay made the difference for me.
