Found a Garmin Forerunner 955 — any way to find the owner?

My dad was on his way home from work and found a Garmin Forerunner 955 in the middle of the road, covered in snow. He only noticed it because he thought he dropped something while crossing the street, so he picked it up.

I looked it up and realized it’s a pretty expensive watch, and I feel really bad for whoever lost it, especially since it looks basically brand new. Is there any way to check the watch to find the owner, like how iPhones are linked to an Apple ID? Can you track the owner or get a phone number from it? Please let me know.
