Do men judge 40 y/o women harshly?

my partner passed away unexpectedly three years ago when I was 37. fast forward, I’ve recently turned 40 even though I don’t feel, look or really act my age I would say — I’m thinking it may be time to pot meet someone new but am panicked at the prospect of online dating at 40 as a female.

previously, dating has always been rather effortless though I sort of loathed the whole process of finding a quality guy.

am I totally screwed? is 40 too late?
