Friendships in the Bowl?

Hi everyone-

I want to start with I’ve been lurking this forum for some time, and by far, this seems like the most down to earth, funny and informative forum I’ve come across in forever! I created an account just to post… and hopefully one day I’ll work up the courage for a profile review. LOL

I see a ton of posts about friendships after SR’s end with former SB’s/SD’s, but I’m curious about friendships within the lifestyle in general- not that you actively seek out friends, but I would like that for myself and if you have done it, I’m curious about how to go about it. I’m in the biggest bowl in the world, but bar/club hopping isn’t my thing so I wouldn’t even know where to connect with others.

One of my biggest goals (personally) would be to have a few people who can relate over a cup of coffee or dinner… not just the SR’s I may find myself in. I haven’t seen anything that suggests that may be possible. So is that something you’ve come across? Is it helpful? Am I thinking too much into it?
