Starting a prayer

So I wanna do a proper prayer to odin tomorrow, But I don't know the correct way to go about it. I always hear People say you have to start at a certain way and whatnot, but I don't know exactly what I'm doing. I'm not sure if just "hello all father" is it good enough entrance So any help would be much appreciated. Thank you in advanced
