Scam and Flipkart customer care is a joke, even on Twitter
Someone I don't know ordered a product (COD) on Flipkart with my phone no. and address. I checked with my family if someone ordered but nobody did. Upon researching, it looks like a common scam happening on Flipkart.
The most bizarre thing is, in address they used my mom's full name. I never used my mom's name on any of Ecommerce deliveries, except for Apollo Pharmacy for which they use patient's name.
The only way I would assume they got these details is from trash where I threw my parcels without shredding the address. Or courier guys making copy of addresses and selling data to someone. Though I order a plenty in my name, but never got scam orders on my name.
Keeping aside this, I tried reaching out to Flipkart Customer support, but failed to get resolution.
- There is no contact number to reach them.
- There chat support is just a terrible bot, looks like it made by child.
- My final resort, I made a post on X tagging flipkart support and Flipkart. Got some automated reply again and they asked me to send order details over DM which I did. Then I got repeated automated replies that a resolution provided but there is none provided.
I cannot fathom, how one of the biggest e-commerce companied of India can get away with non-existent customer support.
This is probably why Amazon is still winning in India. They have hands down best customer support.
The scam order is still active, and it is now shipped too. I probably deny it at doorstep. But this is such a waste of resources and not to mention how a company takes customers so lightly.
