How do I center images/gifs on my post?

I have tried every single code in the HTML editor. There is not a center alignment option on the rich text editor. I cannot get the gifs to center, they insist on being left aligned. I am new to Tumblr but it shouldn't be this hard to align media in a post. Is it just not possible?
