Is a double name ok for a puppy?

Basically we have a new puppy, can’t decide on a name.

Kids want Max, we want Moose. We’ve been trying out both names to see if he responded to one better and honestly he responds and ignores both pretty much the same lol

I said we should just call him Maximoose so he can keep both.

I know dogs eventually learn their nicknames but how bad would starting with 2 names be?
