[Avatar: The Last Airbender Quest for Balance] can I access free mode more than once?

For context I want to get Avatar trophies and because I never bought The Legend of Korra game I have 2 options: play Quest for Balance despite how bad it is (I have never played it so I don't know if it truly is as terrible as they say) or wait until Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game comes out.

In this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BbdBMY7-hQ0&t=1067s , at the time linked, the guy starts talking about how the game only allowed him to do free mode one time locking him out of the platinum. I want to know if this (likely) unintentional problem was fixed in a patch. If this problem is still in the game I will not play due to the stress of Points of No Return.

Thanks
