On New Atheism and its history

I don't know if anyone here reads the Dispatch, but there was a recent article offering a kind of retrospective on the New Atheism movement. I liked it, but it made realize that I would to hear this group's thoughts on the New Atheists.

Retrospectives, current opinions, stories, thoughts, etc. are all welcome. I would simply like to hear from y'all about what comes to mind when New Atheism is mentioned. I am thinking particularly and mainly about the Four Horsemen, but feel free to comment more broadly if you so choose.

Bonus points if you have any of you would like to share any stories about meeting one of them.
