Did I mess up my new seiko

[seiko srpe53] I have never owned an automatic watch or a watch with day and date. I opened up the box and tried to immediately set the time not knowing about the 9pm - 4am thing but am also not sure what the time was set at out of the box. When I spin the days they did look misaligned for a moment. I click the crown back in and tried again and it seems fine now. I set the time and am going to wait till midnight and see if it changes correctly.

What I’m asking here is do I return it and start fresh or should it be fine assuming it changes to Wednesday In a few hours properly.
