Why does our loved ones or god or whatever help us in need?

there have been times ive been so desperate for some situations I beg god, any loved ones or the universe even at times for help. Pleading that if anyone listens and is out there even past this life for help. And its never happened.

even at my most desperate when i came close to taking my life. I find it hard to impossible to believe that either a just loving god exists. At best it would be indifferent to suffering. At worst cruel. And i find it hard to believe if my loved ones could see how much suffering i went through they surely would try to help even from the other side.

this is another nail in the coffin for belief for me. I just find it hard to think all the suffering in this world thats just pointless and if there was any beings out there who cared, why wouldnt they help us?
