Would you say that the kid's electric scooters got so confusing?

Then, you remember that when purchasing a scooter that your kid uses, you had to choose between red and blue in the toy store? I am reading about motor watts, battery capacity and weight limits like they were the stores of a Tesla.

My nephew is having a birthday and I said to myself, an electric scooter, an unproblematic gift. Three hours later I am reading out incomprehensible specifications. Models that are featured by some random Alibaba sellers sound impressive, however, are they safe? Is regenerative braking necessary for kids? Is 150W too much or too little?

The price range is just insane as well. You have got options of $80 that appear to be the same as options of $300. My sister only wants something that would not plant her 8 year old on the pavement, and, in fact, I do not know what models of skates do that.

The reviews are scattered to the four winds. Either my kid loves it! or "two weeks after caught fire" no middle. Why should you know what is really good and what is a mere cheap piece of junk with fancy advertising?

Just because you require a degree in engineering to purchase toys now? I miss the times when the biggest issue was the assembly required. At this point, I am concerned with the certifications of lithium batteries and the responsiveness of the brakes.

What do you really seek in purchasing one of these things?
