Paying transfer balance

I’ve had a balance that had been “pending” transfer from the old WF card since 2/17. Should I just pay it off on the WF app or keep waiting until the balance is finally transferred from the old card and pay it down on the BILT app? I’m worried it will start earning interest and hurt my credit.
