Wanting to get back into the game

Hello! I used to play this game a ton years ago, back when there was only 5 bands, but haven't played almost at all since then. I want to get back in to the game, but I was wondering if it's still alive. Does it still get updates, events and banners, and does it seem like it will be that for awhile still?

Also also, just curious about the likelihood of getting my old account back. I have no info on it other than that I'm pretty sure I played on the same Apple game center account that I have now, so that should help right?

Thanks all for the help!
