How common is it to receive a job offer after references are contacted? [Post-Interview]
Hello everyone, basically what the title says. For reference, this was my last interview in the process and I was told a decision would be made within a week.
I’m wondering how common it is for a job offer to coming after an interview. I had an interview yesterday and it went very well (I’ve done this enough time to know when things are trending a particular direction). This, however, is the first time my references have let me know they’ve been contacted. I’m working with a recruiting agency who said they really good things post interview and the interview said I have virtually everything they’re looking for (I take comments like these with a grain of salt).
TL;DR: If I had a good interview and my references were contacted, is that usually indicative of them wanting to proceed forward with my application?
