Positive Mirena IUD experience????

I'm 24 and I'm getting my laparoscopic surgery in two days. They're placing a Mirena IUD while I'm under, but so far all I've read in this sub is how absolutely HORRIBLE the Mirena IUD has been for so many women here. I'm now terrified to get it because I just want to get all this shit over with and I do not want a new problem or else I will literally end it all and then some. I just want to be pain free. I just want to enjoy being a woman again. GOD!!! (I'm calm)

I know we're all different and get different reactions but I actually need to hear it from other women. Has anyone here actually had the Mirena make their lives better??? Should I even get it?? Is there any way to know if it'll be good/bad for you? Thank you all in advance!
