I seem to really enjoy my job
I 19M started working at my elementary school as mainly an EA sub since the beginning of the year. They've been needing me working there almost everyday and so far I've mainly covered an assistant for 4th grade, stem class, and the computer labs class. There are other times too where I'm just supervising the kids during lunch and recess. Now, I don't if this is weird or not but I really like working. I dread the day I don't get a message or a call asking me to come in for the day. Not sure if this is normal or not. I suspect it may be because I finally feel useful? The kids always seem to be happy to see me (especially when they realize I'll be in subbing when they're in stem or computer labs) and some even give me hugs. It's odd since I never see them like this with anyone else. Either way, I'm just curious if this is normal to love working this job so much. I've asked about trying to become a full time EA but they're fully staffed rn. It's even tempting to volunteer when they don't actually need need me.
Has anyone else ever felt like this? Is there a reason I feel like this?
