Living Nightmare with H Pylori (sorry kinda long)

Hello everyone writing this to keep some of my fellow people grounded in case they are going through something similar. We are all in this together.

It all started back in August 2025 when I went to Cabo with my GF. As soon as we got there we started eating nothing but seafood. Im a big sushi guy so we were eating just about anything. We were eating in and out of the town, many different places. Now if this is where I got the bug im not sure but it seems like it.
Fifth day in I got extremely dizzy to where I felt like I was going to passout, extremely scared and filled with anxiety I went to the hospital and them know what happened.
The doctor there basically said I was dehydrated and gave me an IV bag and some antibiotics because since I arrived I had lots of diarrhea. 1 a day for 7 days. (I still wanted to drink so I didn't take them everyday).
Long story short cut my vacation and flew back to the states. Now begins the nightmare...

Sept/October: Insane amount of vertigo feeling almost like the world was moving every time i would move my eyes. Having an off feeling almost like I'm floating. After CT scans of my head and countless blood work doctors would send me home with no medication saying nothing was wrong. Still have this feeling now feels like i have a rubberband around my head and feel top air head feeling/pressure.

November: This is when i started getting more symptoms. Apart from dizziness, this month is when i started to get nauseous, stomach pain, faster heart rate, chest pain. I would notice when I would eat I would get the symptoms the most. I would have food infront of me and had to move it away before i felt like throwing up. After many urgent care visits and seeing my kaiser doctor they determined i had alcohol gastris...they just gave me a PPI and Sucralfate to coat my stomach. I did notice my fast heart rate dropped back to the 80s after the PPI and Sucralfate, think this had to do with the irritation of my vagus nerve. Funny part is doctor said I highly doubt you have H Pylori.

December: HELL. Consent chest pain, shortness of breath, chest tightness, chest pressure, headaches, stomach pain, fatigue, dizziness, back pain, zaps across my chest, panic attacks, fast heart beat. Lost 15/20 pounds because I could not eat anything.
Legit went to the hospital many times thinking I was having a heart attack or stroke. This month is where the doctors focused on my heart only. Had an echocardiogram, countless EKGs, blood work for heart attack/stroke and a holt monitor. Everything came back normal.

January: Couldnt take it no more. I switched from kiaser to loma linda thinking they were gonna help. Basically the same crap ridiculous doctors that just blame anxiety and stress...oh and my favorite its GENETICS.. Did chest, pelvic, abdominal with contrast and everything was normal. After some blood work at loma linda I notice my T3 was high, noticed my Ferritin was also high and my iron levels were near low. I also noticed when I stand up i get very dizzy something i never had a problem with this before Cabo, start around Nov. I was determined to take my health in my own hands and started asking the doctor to do blood tests that I wanted idc the price I had to pay.
10 years ago I also had a stomach issue (wondering if it was the same thing and my H pylori reactivated or I actually caught it in cabo) and went to a doctor in TJ MX had to be 2017/18. I suffered for years during that time and he was the only one who cured me.

I had nothing to lose so i sent him am email him and BAM he responded with "come and we'll find a fix for you". Ended up going the second weekend of Jan. Told him the story and did his check ups and he did my blood work. Now before I get those people that testing for H Pylori through the blood is not standard. He did because all my symptoms pointed towards it.
Blood test showed 1.4 positive normal(inrange) is <0.9.
He gave me a triple therapy of
Metronidazole (400 mg) and Diiodohydroxyquinoline (200 mg) 3x a day 4 days
Omeprazole 1x a day 21 days
Levofloxacino 3x a day 14 days
Completed the treatment and the biggest thing I was finally relieved with was the insane amount of chest pressure and My heart palpitations went away, along with my fast heart rate. Unfortunately, all my symptoms did not go away. I still had chest pain, headaches, bloated feeling, muscle pain, joint pain, nerve pain and felt like irritation in my throat, headache, back pain, rib pain, etc

February: Went back to the same doctor. Told him my symptoms and he retested my blood this time it came out to 1.1 again normal is 0.9. So I had nothing to lose but to go on a second round of antibiotics. The first round was bad but im currently on day 3 and this round is INSANE. I feel completed obliterated. I researched the first round and it was not your standard H pylori treatment compared to the one i just got but for more of a parasitic treatment. Trying to tough it out got a long 11 days ahead of me. Sometimes I do get a random jolt of energy but then just fall back an hour or two. Luckily, I can sleep so when i feel horrible i just try to sleep. I feel good in the morning but then I eat and take the medicine and all goes down hill. During the evening i feel like dying.
Current treatment: On day 3
Pepto Bismuth- 3x 2 table spoons 14 days
Amoxicilina- 3x 14 days
Clarithromycin 2x 14 days
Pantoprazole 2x a day for 7 days and then drop to 1x for 21 days.
Just started taking probiotics yesterday 1 a day. First day was ROUGH. Crazy headaches and i still have that nasty metallic taste even smell. Fatigue as well. Jaw pressure, tense. Bad pain near the below the center of by rib cage that sometimes moves from left to right. (comes and goes)

Very Tough thing to go through, currently feeling like crap and regretting life but hanging in there..Hoping there is light and the end of the tunnel soon. I sit and read all the comments of people that still have symptoms for months and hope thats not the case but I know im destroying my gut microbe so I still have many weeks to go after treatment...

Know its a bit long but wanted to share my story for anyone going through this and need someone to relate too. Any questions fire away. As far as a stool or breath test I will take one after this treatment and stop using PPIs for a month to make sure its completely killed for now..
