Mucus smells like candle wax

I am a 23 year old, 4’9 female. I do not smoke. The only medication I have is my IUD. I had no other medical issues. Allergies, only when the weather drastically changes overnight. After pregnancy I started having reoccurring sinus problems. Thick green mucus all of the time. My mother has this problem. I was told that it might just be seasonal allergies. Here’s the kicker. My green snot smells like candle wax. Legit cinnamon apple. Usually it would be a nasty sweet smell. Gross I KNOW. Has anyone had this problem. I live in a duplex and have confirmed that the neighbor uses candle wax melts. We have central cooling. Is the wax an irritant? Should I tell my neighbor? Can anyone relate?
