Is it normal 12 months behavior???

Hi, I’m feeling really frustrated and worried right now.

My 12-month-old doesn’t wave or point. He only babbles and sometimes says “papa” during the day. Sometimes he responds very well when I call his name, but other times he completely ignores me no matter how many times I call him. He screams and cries several time at night sleep, and he’s more fussy and clingy these few days especially when we take him out to the crowded restaurants.

He doesn’t seem to understand much, although I can clearly see that he understands when we say “no.” He smiles and laughs, but when I hold him he doesn’t really make eye contact.

He growls a lot during the day. When he feels sleepy, he bangs or hits his head against the wall. He also rocks back a little to hit wooden surfaces. He uses his index finger to touch and explore everything, flaps his hands or arms when excited or upset, and rubs his eyes a lot even if he just woke up.

I’m really concerned about these behaviors.
