[KCD2] has the issue been fixed, etc?

I played the game when it first came out and got to the second map. When I first got there, there was an issue where when you brought the map/inventory up, it was VERY slow. Slow to the point I just stopped playing because it was annoying.

Have they fixed this issue?

Secondly, should I just restart if I play again? I don’t get far into the second map and don’t remember the story great (I could watch YT videos on the first map I suppose)
