LPT: Solo travel proves the scariest adventures are the ones worth having — because surviving them makes you unbreakable in all aspects of life

NSFWTraveling

I just got back from my yearly solo trip (10th one in 10 straight years) to unwind and grind myself and it made me think…”I always feel so grounded and alive when I take these types of trips” and I wanted to just throw this out there for anyone who’s always wanted to take a solo trip and haven’t quite found the courage to take it.

I think there is power in stepping away from the friends, the lifestyle you live, and the day to day routine and booking that first solo trip where you finally say “fuck it” and book the sex-positive club, the anonymous hookup app meetup, or the kink workshop in a city where nobody knows you. Your stomach is in knots the whole flight: “What if it’s awkward? What if I try something new and hate it? What if I chicken out mid-scene?”

That terror is the entire point. There is truly something beautiful about the unknown and fear or walking out on that ledge and truly trying something new.

I have learned that when you actually go through with it — whatever that desire, experience, or think may be to you…something permanent shifts afterwards.

You realize: “I survived the scariest version of myself and I’m still here and still my whole self.”

You come home bolder. You ask for the things you want without apologizing. You laugh off a bad date instead of spiraling. You own your kinks instead of hiding them. Rejection? Meh. Awkward morning-after? Whatever. You’ve already done harder shit alone in a different time zone.

Solo travel doesn’t just show you the world.

It shows you exactly how fucking powerful your sexuality can be when no one is watching and no one is judging.

The scariest sexual adventures are the ones that turn “I could never…” into “I already did… and I want more.”

I know this is a different style of posts than I commonly see here (long time lurker) 😬 but hopefully it serves as valuable for someone else!

Tell me some crazy solo trips you’ve taken and if you found value in them!
