Anyone know why they are ending Ranked Reload early, but not regular BR ranked?

Ranked Reload is coming to an end very soon (within a few days), but for some reason the normal ranked Battle Royale will be sticking around, close to the end of C7S1 I think. Anyone know why this is? They both share similar types of cosmetics you can earn, so I just thought that was kind of bizarre they are doing that.

I only got to Diamond to get a few of the rewards, but I don't think I'm going to bother trying to get higher since we have such a short amount of time (plus I admit I really don't like how they did ranked rewards this season, not sure if I could have even gotten to Unreal).
