Shia Labeouf arrested in New Orleans
Was his sober journey inspiring to anyone else? I know the overwhelming majority here probably view him as a POS, but still, I listened to his podcast with Jon Bernthal getting sober and it was very motivating and inspiring to me at the time.
I’ve probably listened to it 5 times total since being alcohol free and each time I resonate with different parts about how he feels and being sober.
Him relapsing and going back to the same old patterns like this is actually just as valuable for me to see.
You can slip and fall so quick, ruin all of your progres, no matter how long you’re sober for.
I tried to find it posted somewhere else but all I could find is people not knowing about the sobriety at all and still associating him with his behavior before sobriety.
Posting incase anyone found the same insight and inspiration in his sobriety. Seeing the clips of him drunk brawling, as shitty as it is, is a great reminder to me in how you can never go back. The same shit will always happen. As shitty as your life was when you decided to get sober is exactly how shitty it will be if you drink again.
