“Get Some” - Tropic Thunder was first released to theaters on August 13, 2008, & was then released to home media on November 18, 2008. The movie made $195.7 Million in box office against $92 Million in budget. Which is twice the budget making it a big success. The movie stars Ben Stiller (also the Director), Jack Black & Robert Downey Jr., along with Steve Coogan, Jay Baruchel, Danny McBride, Brandon T. Jackson, Bill Hader, & Nick Nolte.

Review: Not going to lie, this movie definitely had a lot of dramatic & exaggerated scenes. Which would make this movie really funny because of that. It also had that feel to it too. This movie represents as a parody of many Vietnam War movies. I’m not gonna say it wasn’t funny or a bad movie, but I almost didn’t laugh the entire movie. I don’t know if there’s something wrong with me on that part, but there were indeed funny ass scenes in the film. I may have to watch it again & again/over & over. They basically tried to turn cringey to funny, which is basically what this film is. Full of humorous & cringeworthy at the same time. The plot of this movie was filled with twists & turns. With notable characters & their scenarios, I had those “what the hell” moments at least a few times watching it. Not like in a bad way, but more of seeing stuff unexpected to where it’s just absolutely memeable.

For that, this will be placed in the middle with B tier. Number wise, 6.5/10. Some people may totally disagree with my decision, but I’m just happy I get to review this personally. I know a lot have recommended me to watch this, including not on here. With many notable people, they definitely knew how to get people by going off the wall. This is also what this movie is. An “off the wall” type of action. What do y’all think? Let me know in the comments!
