Current EKG

Thanks for taking the time to read this in advance and check out my EKG! Any insight is appreciated

Hello! I have an upcoming cardiology appointment to get cleared for starting medication (thyroid and possibly stimulants), and I’m trying to understand what to expect based on my history. The story is a bit long but I want to be thorough.

History:

· 2009: During first pregnancy (complicated by hyperemesis gravidarum), an EKG showed something abnormal. I was put on heart meds and had an echo and halter monitor.

· 2018: Second pregnancy, also with hyperemesis. I went to the ER for fast heartbeat and dizziness. They ran labs everything was fine, just dehydrated. They pulled my old EKG from 2009, saw it looked similar, and weren't as concerned. I was again put on heart meds during pregnancy and had another echo/halter.

· Recent Issues:

· My Apple Watch has flagged AFib twice recently, and both times I physically felt it.

· I was previously on Propranolol for anxiety, but doctors didn't realize I also have asthmait ended up exacerbating my asthma symptoms significantly.

· Thyroid History: I have Hashimoto’s. I’ve tried both Levothyroxine and Synthroid in the past (including during pregnancies), and both made my heart rate spike/tachycardia.

Why I’m being cleared now:

· Need to find a thyroid protocol that doesn't spike my HR.

· Need to be cleared for stimulants for ADHD (non-stimulants haven't worked).

Stats: 40F, 5'4", 215 lbs, perfect cholesterol/kidney/liver labs, but I do have sleep apnea and autoimmune issues.

Question: For those who have seen similar cases—what exactly are they looking for at this appointment? Is this just to rule out underlying structural issues or arrhythmias before stimulating the system with meds? What tests should I expect? Also, any advice on how to handle the asthma + beta-blocker conflict?
