“ I want to explain what happened. Vini score a goal and went to celebrate to the fans, it made them angry, this things happen in football, we can’t control everyone.

The tension between the teams went up. Then the number 25, i don’t want to say his name because he doesn’t deserve it, of Benfica started saying unacceptable things. He covered his mouth so the camera couldn’t catch what he is saying. He called Vinicious a monkey five times. Then we lost control because these things are not something we can accept and we didn’t want to play anymore. We are not perfect, no one is perfect but there are things that we can’t accept.

And i want to be clear that i have a lot of friends in Portugal, teammates from here, so i don’t want to generalise. I’m not here to speak ill of Benfica, Portugal, people who were at the stadium because they don’t deserve it. But i think that this specific player does not deserve to play in the best competition, which is the Champions League. Because for me such things are not acceptable. ”

“ I’ve heard him insulting Vini myself and this is why i am so angry. I don’t know if it’s the best way to react to such things but it’s difficult to control the emotions about such things. Benfica is the best club in Portugal for me and one of the best clubs in the world and i hope they will do something about this player. Because, on my opinion, it’s unacceptable that a club that has such image, such incredible fans and players, one of the best coaches has a player who behaves like this. ”

“ We can discuss the other things that happened on the pitch like our reaction, whether we played good or not etc. later. I will accept any criticism, i have always accepted it but i will not accept racism. ”

“ And this situation happened to Vini again. He is a player who always experiences such things a lot. People have to stop doing this to Vini because it’s impossible to look how people are putting him through so much things. Vini isn’t a devil, he isn’t a bad person, he is a player who is trying to bring joy. He makes mistakes like everyone else but he doesn’t deserve what happened to him today. ”

“ I hope the number 25 guy will not be there for the next game because he doesn’t deserve it. We will see what they will do about this matter. I might be wrong but it’s my opinion. From our side will try to do our best and try to bring the joy to people ”

Kylian Mbappé calls out Argentinian player, Gianluca Prestianni, for calling Brazilian player, Vinicious Jr, a monkey during a match: “ I hope the number 25 guy will not be there for the next game because he doesn’t deserve it. We will see what they will do about this matter."
