Anatomy and Appeal in Tall Character Design

I was watching a character design overview video by a relatively beloved YouTuber for a project I was working on, and not thirty minutes in, it was already talking about height.

Unlike other sections in the video where he brought in exceptions, one section where there was almost none was intimidation and height design, and what was that one exception? Tall women. Absolutely no mention of the goat Wolverine.

And to rub salt deeper into the wound, in the section where he brought up masculinity and femininity, he brought up height again! Being short was cute, being tall was intimidating. I was about to crash out.

This genuinely takes me out of it. I want to write works where the short man is the hero for once and not a joke, but these videos are severely demoralizing and watching everyone in the comments agree like sheep is even worse.

This guy was Right wing too, so no politics for our bones...
