don’t wanna get my hopes up, dr alice pham referral.

i, f18, northern ont. have been dealing with reproductive issues basically since i was 12, first brought up concerns at 14 or so. to put it short, my periods are random, debilitating, i have recorded ruptured cysts (requiring drainage) and multiple follicles. discharge that looks like chocolate cysts that have bursted, ive gone to the er crying and throwing up from pain, had my ferritin drop to 5 due to blood loss, and so many more symptoms that overlap with endo along with an EXTENSIVE family history of endo, pcos and cervical cancer (literally all the women closest to me do not have their uterus or reproductive organs due to issues).

after a couple years of birth control being pushed (not taken) being dismissed, and almost giving up on trying to figure out what is wrong, my doctor referred me to dr alice pham at north york hospital which was really exciting to hear and im quite hopeful, however there is a little voice in the back of my mind that is worried my referral won’t be accepted. there are literally no specialists or available gynocologists in my area (two gynos, one RNP usually only working with pregnancies) and this is honestly my only hope at this point unless i want to go private or to the states.

so im kinda just asking if anyone has worked with her, if i should be worried about not getting in, or if my symptoms are even severe enough to be worried.
