Learner driver here, “allowed” method of operating a steering wheel during restricted test?

My father tells me to do the “push pull”, when I have tried it I feel like it’s the most unsafe method when I’m doing it, very slow hand correction times for the next wheel rotation compared to the following methods.

My sister recommends the hand over hand method, which I find much more easier to use and can make adjustments much faster.

And she also recommends driving with 1 hand, which I tried and I feel like it’s the fastest, most natural for me. But she tells me she doesn’t believe you’re allowed to use 1 hand when driving.

So; is 1 hand, or hand over hand allowed on the restricted driving test? Or do I have to force myself to use and learn the “push pull” method?
