Theory: The Arc were made/controlled by the humans who left in the Exodus

Forgive me if this is already known stuff as I'm pretty new.

The lore seems to point toward the Arc being agents of the humans who left in the Exodus. The fact that they focus on guarding resources and old world technology is a big identifier but an obvious clue is in front of us: their name. The Arc. Carrying the last survivors is humanity, these robots bear the responsibility of helping the space bound humans survive. They need our resources and we are messing with their numbers with our pesky survival and looting.

I suspect this will get revealed and we may even get to bring the fight to them someday. I wonder if there will be factions where we pick a side even?

Anyone else more familiar with the lore have further evidence to supply? I'd like to hear people's theories.
