Are you telling me that the internet's whole purpose, as it currently functions, is to enable everyone on the face of the planet to divide and conflict as much as possible and as *badly* as possible?

Everywhere, there are different groups of all shapes and sizes, and many of these groups are over petty things here, niche things there, but always at extremes, the flip of a switch, not a slider or a dial. You ask something, you get a polar answer. I just spent two posts about the interactions between men and women, questioning how safely they could interact, assuming at all, because I met a thread insisting otherwise, leading me to see how insane I'd sound.

I could've done this for any topic on the face of the earth and gotten the exact same results: Either I'm crazy or I'm completely right, never anywhere in-between, no nuance. I just spent those two threads asking about how men might function if they couldn't biologically reproduce and, therefore, wouldn't have a reason to interact with women; you wouldn't believe how horribly wrong I was; not many people are willing to admit that, bringing me to the main problem: Everyone out here, or practically everyone out here, is lookin' for conflict.

Is the internet, as it currently functions, design specifically to divide everyone as much as possible and sow conflict? Is the whole point hategagement?
