Iphone 8 to anything else

I've a lost of support for most of the apps I need for day to day function so it's time to switch (currently using my second hand 3 year old iphone 8 plus). I'm sure an uprade to any new apple phone would be an improvement but my big thing is touch ID and I'm kinda over apple. Im big on customization and long term usage with lasting support. A good battery is a must and I'd like a decent camera for recording events. I was thinking an Samsung Galaxy s24 plus from things I've read.
