This sh*t is expensive 😭

Let me just first say, mental health professionals, get your coins. You deserve money for your time...

But damn! The bill I just received for an initial psychiatry appointment shook me to my core. This is my third time seeing a psychiatrist for medication, of course with a new psych, I had to do somewhat of an evaluation.

First virtual platform I tried was Brightside. I couldn't access my bill via their platform or see any charges via my insurance's platform for monthsss. So I, being desperate, went on to another platform: Teledoc Health. I got locked out my account because they claim my insurance info wasn't valid! No reaching out... just straight up shut it down. So I have to get that resolved... Who knows how much that will be 😭

My bill from Brightside for an initial psych appointment... not so bad. My most recent psychiatry bill from Grow Therapy for an initial psych appointment... nearly double that! Apparently, they count a single appointment as two services: office visit and medical services. I can't afford another appointment so I hope I'm able to transfer med management to my physician. 😔 It's not the first I was prescribed this medication but it's a lower dosage.

Mannn no wonder I thought therapy/psychiatry was only for rich people growing up. Reliable help is expensiveee! 😩
