WTF MyPoints. Redeem amounts just went up again

Logged in to cash out and noticed PayPal redemptions nudged up by 48 points across the board. $100 went from 16,000 to 16,048, $5 from 800 to 848. On top of that the 6.25% discount for the Virtual Prepaid Mastercard is gone so the $100 option is now 16,000 instead of 15,500. Did they quietly roll this out or am I missing an announcement? Feels pretty shady to just bump redemption costs without a heads up.

If you’re as annoyed as I am, I’ve been using Mistplay on the side to stack a few small Amazon/Visa gift cards by playing phone games. It’s not a replacement for MyPoints but it helped cover the difference this month. Anyone else seeing these changes or found other decent side options?
