MISTR test

I didn’t know where else to post this, so I’m going to try here. I had sex on February 9th and the condom broke. I got my MISTR kit delivered today, and I will take it tomorrow. I’m a little confused because I asked the doctor on MISTR if the finger prick detects HIV earlier than the normal 3 months. This was his response: It is the early detection (up to 72 hours after). I’ve done some research and I’m not seeing anything at all that says this is possible. I’m seeing like 2 weeks to 18 days is the earliest for detection. Is this an actual thing?

Please no rude comments. I’m just confused and anxious and want to be able to take this test asap.
