Does anyone else get called bad because they aren't traditional?

I normally play on expert.

I can play mastermode.

But I like expert.

Why do people assume I'm a bad player when I use mobility armors for my ranger class. Prehardmode I like shadow armor. Hardmode I like titanium armor. I often prioritize defense and maneuverability for my ranged classes because I over produce ammo and I am good on my aim. I'm a PC player.

I'll die 100 times before I get my armor of choice, but once I get my armor I won't die once. I've defeated the empress of light with armor and accessories people find "basic". I might not even have wings and will prefer a shield of Cthulhu, and a sandstorm balloon with a horseshoe.

I've been playing since 2014. I'm no EXPERT on the game, but what I do works. I know there are BETTER ways to play, but the way I do things works and is right in my mind. Why do people try to flex on me so bad?
