PC not turning on
I’m having an issue as of yesterday where my pc won’t start up. When I press the power button or plug in the cable to the PSU the fans will momentarily move, but not fully rotate, and then stop. Normally at the same time a red light will blink on my motherboard very quickly.
Yesterday was windy/rainy so I imagine that could have caused something to short circuit, as when I got home in the evening it no longer would turn on.
From what I could find online for others with similar issues, it sounds like a shorted PSU might be the problem, but others also said it could be the motherboard or multiple issues if things are fried.
Trying to figure out the best next step to take, if buying a new PSU sounds like the most likely fix, or if anyone has any advice on how to troubleshoot it. I’ve tried a few fixes like holding the power button while the PSU is unplugged, I’ve tried unplugging all cables and using a new power cable but no fixes yet. Any help is appreciated!
