iPod classic 5th gen stuck in do not disconnect loop

I just modded my iPod classic, new battery and all that, and for the past 30 minutes now it’s been stuck in the do not disconnect loop.

I left it for a while to eat dinner and when I came up it said okay to disconnect but when I touched my laptop it went right back to the do not disconnect.

How do I get it out of the loop, and how do I restore it bc I can’t find any tuts on yt that I can follow.
