Oled advice needed. Xg27aqwmg or a used pg27ucdm.

Discussion

The mythic Asus XG27AQWMG 280hz Tandem Oled was finally available on Amazon here in the states so I picked it up and have been checking it out. Seems to be pretty decent using a 4080 Super FE so 2k is a happy medium for higher refresh rates.

The advice I ask of you is that I was just able to get a Asus Rog Swift PG27UCDM 4k 240hz at my local best buy for 640 dollars. It was an open box in 'excellent' condition but came with no box no cables no vesa mount no nothing, just the monitor on the stand...even the monitor stand is missing that ROG logo lens magnet piece that shines on the desk so now when on it's just a red blob. Anyways I went back to BB with issues and they dropped the price lower as I showed them ths monitor had some dings and scratches. I know it's 4k but after seeing 4k on a 27inch my eyes can't unsee that...I almost felt I should not have dabbled with it but I could not pass up checking it out as I was curious about seeing 4k and the specs on the monitor seemed good.

I also reached out to Asus and they told me the warrenty for the monitor is good until July 2028 and they are looking into getting me a rog light in motion lens replacement.

So really I'm asking do you feel I should take this as a win minus all the stuff i didn't get with the open box or should I return it and keep the 2k tandem or return both and wait for the rgb stripe or next gen qd oled that will be dropping this year since the PG27UCDM has been out now for over a year I think...

Thanks for reading and for your time on this matter.
