Long distance due to jobs

My husband and I are currently living and working in different countries. We both aren't citizens and are on work visa.

It's been more than 3 years. We started to look for jobs in each other's country of residence last year (couldn't afford to before because of contract with the company as they paid for the visa), but there's no success. My patience is wearing out and I am finding it extremely hard to cope with the long distance, and would really like to be with my husband.

Our mental state is also making us a bit indecisive whether we should continue where I live or we continue in the country where he lives. We just want to be together at one place, and everything else has become secondary. Sometimes I wonder whether that attitude would lead us in issues long-term (I have thoughts crossed my mind to leave my job and just move there on partner visa or something and then look for jobs. I am scared to take that step because of how the job market is looking.).

My mind is very emotional about the situation. I feel like I can't trust my judgement in this state but I also just want to sort out our situation asap.
