Special Relationships Question

I don't really have any. I consider family same as friends. The only one i can think of is my dog, who i project as myself wanting to be loved so i love him. i'm reading it so i guess i should be seeing something, but it just talks about breaking special relationships, so relinquish my conection to dog?
