I tried some brandies today
I'm not normally a fan of cognac, but trying calvados and eau de vie got me a bot interested in some of the nicer, more flavorful cognacs.
I tried Remy Martin VSOP, Carlos I, Torres 5 & 10, and Hennessey VSOP.
By far I preferred Remy Martin. It's the most flavorful and has the longest palate.
I actually preferred Torres 5 over Torres 10 because I like the younger flavor. 10 is too smoothed over. It burns less, but it's also less enjoyable.
Just wanted to share my thoughts and get some other people's input.
