We’re expanding Neon’s research family once again. After Deep Research and 1-Minute Research, say hello to **Local Research**.

**What is new?**

We’re introducing **Local Research** \- a research agent that can access web content **as you**, using your logged-in sessions and open tabs to gather more personalized and context-aware information.

It runs on your device first, browsing locally like you would, then sends the gathered page context to the server to generate the final structured research output.

**What makes Local research different?**

Local Research:

* Operates within your real browsing session
* Accesses logged-in content
* Collects page context as rendered in your browser

Unlike standard research, which relies on generic web access, Local Research delivers results tailored to your actual browsing environment.

**How does it work?**

* Select Local Research and enter your prompt
* The agent browses locally
* When it lands on logged-in pages, it accesses them using your active session
* It gathers context from the pages it accesses
* That context is sent to the server
* The engine (server side) generates the final structured output - the research

# 📍 Where to find it

You can start Local Research from:

If you want Local Research to use your paid sources, just make sure you’re logged in first — then tell Neon which sources to include.
