The Astral Express once rammed into the Herald of Death & saved Himeko.
Simple theory I'd like to point out before doing my big main theory for this patch.

Intense beam of light.
Tremendous roar, howl or mechanical rumbling. (Read: train sound)
Spatial distortion- Warp jump.
Gigantic arm- It's the train's body, it looks like an arm.
It probably rammed into the Herald of Death and then it saved Himeko from the encounter. Why would I include Himeko in this theory?
Himeko was lost. The train most likely dragged her along and she got dropped along the way. Then she tried to walk back following the train's direction but couldn't tell which trail was the direction she came from- I know it doesn't actually says there was a destination on her mind but Planarcadia doesn't actually have a sun and her lore says she was chasing the sun and moon- so there, it's just old outdated lore that needs updating to fit in with the lore that she is from Planarcadia.
And so, this is why her father Ryosuke was confused when he saw her alive. Because he thought that she died from the whole chaotic event. I'll get into this in my main theory but suffice to say, don't trust him.
