Can somebody please help me get into this?

So I really dig Mount and Blade and have always had fun with the Calderia Enhanced mod I believe it is, just love the gameplay loop and battles of course. I just got a new PC and can finally play this in a good state now and every time I kick in I just get so lost/overwhelmed frustrated that I quit pretty early. It’s like I never know where to go or what to do, I tried last night and the first quest was the stealth mission which I just despise and suck at in any game I play.

Can I get some tips on what I should be focusing on so early or trying to accomplish? I’ve looked at some guides and again feels like they skip 8 chapters of maybe basic stuff I just need help familiarizing with? I’d really appreciate it!
