Why do they care about my personal taste?
When people visit my humble space, I always notice their first expression. I know they’re probably wondering whether I’m a child trapped in a 24-year-old woman’s body. I love fancy things, not minding whether they’re gimmicks, and I love colors, so my home ends up being unexpectedly colorful... from the flatware to the chairs. My clothes are uniquely different, the kind that keeps people wondering. I hear people say I’m old enough to dress like a teen, but I’m okay with it, that’s all that matters. Plus, I’m not even in my mid-twenties yet, so why wouldn’t I explore as much as I can now? I just got a little irritated when my friend talked down on the train humidifier I got. She said it was a waste of money and a gimmick. Even when I told her I bought it from Alibaba for a fair price, she went on about how I shouldn’t buy random items from random sites. I tried explaining that it made my space feel cozy and personal, but she didn’t get it. Everyone has a lot to say, but I don’t want to have regrets. Maybe in marriage, I won’t even have time for any of this… so for now, I’ll keep doing me, enjoying colors, quirky finds, and little luxuries that make life more fun.
